I acquired this Crossbow a number of years ago from Derrick Middleton, the inventor and entrepreneur of the Middleton Crossbow line, but never had a chance to enjoy it and ended up storing it away.
I recently rediscovered it, but now have grown too old to handle it and have long since given up hunting.
It is for all intents and purposes brand new.
Middleton Crossbows are known and respected among crossbow enthusiasts for their light weight and their almost legendary accuracy, power, and speed.
This crossbow will easily kill a bull elk at 75 yards so it will dispatch any North American game you might challenge yourself to hunt: Ideal for deer, bear, boar, and 'gator.
Years ago, when I was first sighting this bow in in the dead of winter in the Catskill Mountains, I missed my target and the arrow hit a solidly frozen 7” pine tree at 50 yards distance.
I had to cut the tree down to remove the arrow which was embedded fully two and a half inches into the ice-hard trunk.
Middleton Crossbows, unfortunately, did not
survive as a company, but not because the Middleton Crossbow is an unworthy product: It is still one of the finest recurve crossbows ever made.
