BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Launch Program, Enterprise Data Analytics Associate is responsible for working within MSC’s Data Science, Pricing, Human Resources, and Customer Experience Management functions to perform a wide range of tasks to deliver a superior customer experience to MSC customers.
This position will be a rotational assignment to help develop skills and gain exposure across each of these functions.
This associate will apply knowledge acquired in college, as well as gain the skills and experience necessary to prepare the associate for a more diverse career at MSC.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively work with associates and management at various locations to perform some or all of the following:
Plan, execute, and complete projects as assigned.
Provide business assistance to various groups within HR, Customer Experience, Data Science, and Pricing departments.
Design and execute analyses with summary reports and presentations for management consumption to guide decisions and drive profitability.
Assist with tracking and reporting, including developing dashboards, reviewing data quality, and summarizing key insights.
Use various enterprise software and tools to collect, analyze and evaluate data.
Perform independent research.
Perform other responsibilities within these areas as part of the rotational assignment.
Embody the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
Performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Internships in related field preferred.
Excellent academic record (minimum 3.
0 GPA).
SKILLS:
Strong leadership qualities.
Highly organized, exhibit high level of initiative and strong problem-solving ability required.
Strong work ethic.
Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required.
Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills are preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
MISCELLANEOUS:
A valid state driver’s license.
The ability to travel up to 10% of the time required.
Starting compensation is $60000 / per year.
