*Position Summary* We're in search of a seasoned and driven Sales Engineer with a proven track record and an authentic zeal for promoting technology solutions to functional managers, AEC specifiers and senior project managers.
As a crucial part of our team, your primary responsibility will be spearheading sales efforts by collaborating with our regional sales managers to target potential new clients and provide new platform and service solutions for existing customers.
Your success in this role will be gauged by your proficiency in combining your diverse technical knowledge in relevant building technologies with a strong commercial aptitude to support our commercial success.
We seek an individual who is not only well-experienced and diligent but also immensely motivated to achieve exceptional outcomes as part of a team.
*Essential Responsibilities* *Sales Strategy Development:* * Collaborate with the sales team to establish effective technical solutions and associated services to address identified pain points among new and existing opportunities.
*Technical Expertise:* * Demonstrate a deep understanding of controls technology solutions and effectively communicate their value to potential clients.
* Provide technical guidance and support to customers, showcasing the implementation and functionality of solutions and services.
*Relationship Building:* * Bring a team-based mind set to cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, by understanding their needs and ensuring that solutions are executed as proposed.
* Engage in consultative solutioning, providing tailored solutions that address the specific requirements of each client.
* Implement strategies to ensure high renewal rates and excellent customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing ongoing support.
* Act as a liaison between the customer and the technical team, ensuring smooth communication and swift issue resolution.
*Contributing to Sales Team Success:* * Collaborate with the sales team, sharing insights, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department.
* Provide valuable feedback and market insights to refine product offerings and improve sales approaches.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Management, or Computer Science.
* 3+ years of experience within the technology, building automation and/or the construction industry designing, implementing, and commissioning building controls (lighting/HVAC/security) systems.
* 2+ years of experience in project management * Knowledge of LED lighting technologies * Ability to travel within a defined region at least 30% of the time * Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, AGI32 is desired.
