The Real Estate Intern will work directly with the Middleburg Communities Site Acquisition Team.
They will perform research and data collection for multifamily and single-family rental development projects throughout target markets in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct market research for target markets.
Create financial models and underwrite development opportunities.
Prepare site selection materials for all development opportunities.
Research zoning and site characteristics (Tap, impact fees, building permit fees, etc.
)
Prepare targeted email and mailers to send to target property owners
Provide support as needed throughout the acquisition cycle
Call comparative properties to maintain accurate comp data.
Prepare market maps, aerials, and other exhibits as requested.
Research comparable land trades and provide write ups and data to support.
Your Qualifications:
Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related program required at an accredited college or university.
Desire to learn all aspects of real estate industry to accelerate your development & learning to build your career upon.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Excellent written & oral communication & presentation skills using MS Word & PowerPoint
Strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask & meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Ability to be a self-starter; build knowledge of transactions & industry terms; contribute beyond direct scope of role
