POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY The Real Estate Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the real estate department by providing analytical insights to optimize the organization's real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities include generating reports for internal distribution and sponsorship purposes, gathering and updating industry research, and collaborating with various departments for information consolidation.
Additionally, the role involves preparing materials for hotel disposition approval processes and assisting with asset dispositions, notably data management.
Position can be full remote, but should be open to working during East Coast hours.
MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES * Update and maintain financial underwriting models for the department.
* Generate reports tailored for internal departmental use and sponsorship requirements.
* Develop ad-hoc reports to address departmental needs.
* Aid in crafting presentations, including sponsorship approval documents.
* Gather and coordinate various data related to the hotel industry.
* Establish and manage data rooms for asset dispositions.
OTHER DUTIES * Foster cross-departmental relationships to facilitate information exchange and goal alignment.
* Update and maintain geolocation maps for portfolio holdings.
* Conduct market research to identify industry trends and opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES * Understanding of real estate industry trends and practices.
* Familiarity with financial concepts and underwriting models.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting.
* Effective communication skills for collaborating with various departments and presenting findings.
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and requirements.
* Problem-solving skills to address challenges and find solutions.
* Organizational skills to manage data and documentation effectively.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS The candidate is not obligated to relocate but should be open to working during East Coast hours.
Occasional travel may be necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate Finance, Hotel Management, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong teamwork skills.
* Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with individuals at all organizational levels, brokers, buyers, and Sponsors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis.
* Experience in Hotel/Lodging industry is advantageous.
* Prior experience in real estate and/or private equity is a bonus.
