This fine instrument has a beautiful tone and was recently restored and appraised by John Montgomery – Raleigh, NC.
The violin bears the label: Antonius Stadivarius Cremonesis / Faciebat Anno 1727 with a current fair market value appraisal of $3,000.

The top is of spruce in two pieces and bears fine grain at the center to a medium fine grain at the edge.
The two-piece back is of maple bearing a medium fine figure descending from the center seam.
The ribs are of a maple bearing a similar figure.
The scroll, pegbox, and neck are of one piece of maple and bear a similar figure.
The varnish is shaded gold to red brown in color.

Also included with this violin is an Erich Steiner – octagonal German-made bow of Pernambuco wood that was recently re-haired and regripped at a cost of $110.
