Magnolia River and our subsidiary, SGC Survey, are seeking an experienced Legal Contract Specialist to join our collaborative Legal team.
As a subsidiary of Magnolia River, SGC requires a dedicated individual to support the legal aspects of our operations.
The Contract Specialist will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule, with a requirement of at least three (3) days per week at the SGC office in Mooresville, NC.

Compensation range is $55-70k depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with assigned legal counsel to manage day-to-day legal affairs
Act as liaison between MRI’s legal department and SGC.
Assist with management of PPEs.
Facilitate with contract review and negotiation process.
Ensure accurate identification of appropriate PPE in each contract and other legal document.
Secure and monitor certificates of insurance for clients and subcontractors.
Assist with obtaining certificates of authorization and licensure, as required.
Upload contracts and enter contract data into document management system (M-Files).
Track contract expiration dates and notify management of upcoming expiration dates.
Oversee the contract renewal and amendment process.
Assist with PPE-related legal matters, as needed.
Coordinate and schedule contract-related and risk-related training courses.
Assist MRI’s risk team with SGC’s insurance program.
Coordinate contract issues with assigned legal counsel, as needed.
Aid the Human Resources department with processing of income withholding orders.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive or protected information.
Address routine queries from internal team, utilizing past experiences and known solutions.
Refer more complex issues to assigned legal counsel.
Ensure contract approval and execution is performed in accordance with SGC guidelines.
Conduct self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner at all times.
Adhere to the policies, principles, and guidance within the Employee Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned by the MRI General Counsel, assigned legal counsel, or SGC’s management team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess a comprehensive understanding of contracting concepts, industry standards/practices and a proven track record of successfully applying such knowledge and practices in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software products and project management software.
Strong oral and technical writing communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a detail-oriented environment with a high level of accuracy.
Competence in reading and interpreting regulations, industry standards, and specifications.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience performing similar duties for in-house corporate counsel or for a law firm with a business law emphasis.
High level of integrity with the ability to maintain the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Must be comfortable managing and prioritizing competing priorities and frequent interruptions while maintaining close attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
Resourceful, solutions-oriented team player with the ability to collaborate with other team members on challenging projects.
Demonstrate professionalism in providing support, including the ability to exercise good judgement, discretion, tact and diplomacy.
Self-motivated individual who proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes.
