Family Law Attorney

Job Posting: Family Law Attorney Bull City Legal Services is a non-profit law firm serving the Durham community.
We have income-based fees to make legal justice more accessible to everyone in our community.
We are currently seeking an experienced Family Law attorney to join our team on a contract basis.
Contractor status is not necessarily permanent — attorneys who are successful in their position may be offered employee status.

Responsibilities: - Represent clients in legal proceedings related to child support, custody, legal separation, paternity, and protection orders and other matters - Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to family law - Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions - Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach settlement agreements when possible - Work closely with clients to develop legal strategies that meet their unique circumstances and goals - Manage client relationships and expectations.
Requirements: - Active NC bar membership in good standing - At least 3 years of experience practicing law - Ability to work independently and manage a caseload - Strong negotiation and advocacy skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This is a contract position, and compensation will be based on an hourly rate commensurate with experience.
The starting pay rate for contractors is $50-$75 per billable hour collected.
This is a remote position — no office space is currently available.
Candidates must have access to reliable and secure internet (no working on unsecured or publicly shared Wi-Fi).
