Charlotte Law Firm (University Area) is seeking a full time paralegal/legal assistant to assist a Associate Attorney.
This position involves working closely with assigned attorney to complete daily tasks for the attorney and clients.
Qualifications:

* Associate’s or equivalent (Preferred)
* Paralegal Certification a plus
* Must have minimum 1-2 years of experience under an attorney in a law firm setting
* Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
* Strong oral and written communication skill
* Driver’s License and dependable transportation (required).
* Microsoft Office
* Experience with Clio case management software a plus.
*Essential Duties:*
* Work with firm’s client management software and to maintain client files and activities.
* Calendar management
* Reminding attorneys of deadlines for filings, appearances, meetings, etc.
* Assisting with pleadings, court filings, and motions.
* Compiling discovery for attorney review.
* File management.
* Client correspondence and consultation.
* Manages multiple deadline-sensitive projects.
* Comply with the various procedural guidelines of differing counties.
* Drafting pleadings, subpoenas, and notices.
* Preparing and responding to discovery.
* Communicating with clients, court clerks, judges, and opposing counsel.
* Assisting in the preparation of Case Information Statements.
* Prioritizing work and adjusting priorities in accordance with deadlines.
* Making copies, scanning, and filing.
Willingness to work as part of a team and assist with administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, and have strong writing skills, demonstrate attention to detail particularly with regard to scheduling and managing the trial calendar.
Must be a positive, outgoing, and optimistic person who enjoys working with clients and other professionals in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.
