*Position Summary*: Legal Aid NC seeks a full-time case coordinator to manage the placement of cases with volunteer lawyers across the state.
Training will be provided.
This position will require working from the Charlotte office 2-3 days a week and will have a standard 7.
5-hour workday with no overtime.
*Position begins in July 2024.
* Case coordinator will manage client cases for collaborations with Charlotte law firms and corporations at events and bimonthly courthouse clinics.
In-state, daytime travel required approximately 1-2 days per month, primarily to areas west of the Charlotte metro area.
*The Case Coordinator will:* * Screen cases and perform intake of new clients both in person and by phone.
* Refer cases to volunteers outside of the organization.
* Conduct regular volunteer follow-up for case status.
* Track cases and develop reports for data collection and grant reporting.
* Coordinate volunteer recruitment and orient new volunteers to our programs.
* Conduct outreach and volunteer recognition.
* Assist with coordination and organization of clinics with law schools and corporate partners.
*Qualifications: *Ideal candidates will be highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a large caseload.
Ideal candidates can work with disruptions, have strong written and verbal communication skills, have experience using Excel and Teams, and will demonstrate commitment to the principle of equal access to justice.
Notary certification or eligibility to become a notary preferred.
*Salary and Employee Benefits:* The annual salary for this position is $37,000.
Legal Aid of North Carolina provides excellent health, retirement, disability, and leave benefits.
Employee medical, vision, dental, and life insurance premiums are covered at 100% by the employer.
Discretionary 401(k) contributions with no match required.
Paid leave includes 1.
75 days per month (21 leave days in the first two years), 2.
5 days per month (30 days in subsequent years), 12 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, and other paid leave.
