How You'll Perform the Role Drive all aspects of the Company’s compliance program to ensure that the Company is operating in accordance with its own policies and procedures and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
Manage technical and administrative aspects of the daily operations of the compliance program.
Draft, implement, and maintain corporate policies.
Work closely with relevant business functions to distribute policies, aid in developing compliance plans, and monitor compliance of the same.
Manage confidential Ethics Hotline and support investigations, working closely with HR and other business functions.
Assist, as necessary, due diligence efforts related to potential acquisition targets and assist in the support of post-acquisition integration planning and execution.
Manage Company training platform and annual certification program.
Remain up to date on federal and state laws related to the Company and update policies accordingly with appropriate engagement with internal partners.
Perform compliance audits to determine whether establish protocols are being followed and where they can be improved.
Respond to compliance inquiries; work collaboratively and effectively with outside legal counsel, as necessary, to address such matters.
Support the corporate ethics program, including training initiatives and policy review, implementation, and development.
Refine, develop, and document compliance related processes to enhance the efficiency of the Company’s compliance functions.
Interact with the Company’s audit committee of the board of directors regarding compliance-related matters.
What We Need From You 5+ years of relevant experience in legal, risk management, or compliance roles.
Experience with regulatory and compliance matters affecting the manufacturing industry.
Experience leading departmental and/or cross-functional projects.
Experience interfacing with employees at all levels within the company.
Demonstrated efficiency and flexibility in handling multiple tasks often under tight time constraints in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proven proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to appropriately, and independently, prioritize, organize, and coordinate work while showing initiative and sound judgment.
Ability to build positive relationships with leadership, peers, and others across the company.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and in a small team setting.
Must be a self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to work independently and achieve results.
