Overview: Program managers are responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple, related projects directed toward strategic business and organizational objectives.
These programs contain complex activities that may span functions and facilities.
Program managers build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
The legal department program manager will assist with assessing, planning, designing and implementing legal department initiatives.
In addition, this position will assist with special projects related the legal department’s partnership with related departments, including External Affairs, Compliance, Risk and Audit (CLEAR).
This position will organize projects across the legal department relating to the administration of the department, adoption of best practices and software tools, and projects for litigation or transactions.
This position will conduct and partner with other areas for system-wide programs to develop programs in pursuit of the organizations and the legal department’s priorities.

Qualifications: Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in professional setting, required.
Three or more years program management experience.
Health care experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP), perferred.
Additional Skills (required): Some knowledge or exposure of project management practices.
Prior experience managing parts of a project or small sized projects preferred.
Strong oral communication, listening and writing skills.
Motivational skills to enhance program engagement.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate changes to programs to reflect the changing needs of employees and diverse populations.
Expertise in with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to analyze data to determine program effectiveness.
Good relationship management skills that include good listening and consultative abilities, as well as, the ability to establish credible relationships with business partners to drive change.
Able to work effectively on multiple assignments concurrently.
Ability to recognize, handle and protect sensitive/confidential information.
Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities as needed for project assignments.
Experience in legal department management tools, including contract and document management systems, such as Legal Tracker (Thompson and Reuters) and Conga.
Expertise in using project management tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Vizio.
Additional Skills (preferred): Design, develop and manage project plans.
Ability to facilitate and lead multi-disciplinary teams during project development and during the life-cycle of the project.
Ensure adherence to compliance regulations.
Ability to recognize and recommend project improvement tasks.
