About Learn Music
Learn Music offers private piano, guitar, drum, voice, ukulele, violin/fiddle, banjo, mandolin, trumpet, trombone, and cello lessons to the Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, and Mooresville areas.
At Learn Music, our formula for developing confident musicians can be summed up in three words: learn, perform, and collaborate.
We build a custom curriculum for each student that teaches them what they need to know (theory, technique, tone, etc.
) by incorporating the music they love.
Job Purpose
Individuals hired for this position are expected to cultivate a positive, encouraging environment where individuals can improve their instrumental and vocal capabilities in a private lesson setting.
Key responsibilities include:
Being on time for all lessons, events, and meetings.
Regularly checking and responding to all emails and Slack messages.
Actively preparing all students to participate in Learn Music performance opportunities (Learn Music Live, Learn Music Legends, open mics, in-class performances, etc.
)
Attend at least 1 Learn Music Lives per review period (You are compensated for these).
Having at least 10% of your students perform at Learn Music Live
Teaching students the necessary skills to be great musicians (note reading, music theory, and proper technique).
Attend all “all-staff” meetings (4 per year).
Consistently communicating with parents about students’ weekly assignments through Google Drive (our learning Management system), their progress, and any other pertinent information regarding the student’s lessons.
Assign homework in Google Drive for every student at every lesson.
Score 90% on satisfaction discontinued student surveys.
Assign a video (one that you record) for all students who cancel without 24 hours' notice (you no longer need to do this for no-shows).
Using all non-paid teaching time for Learn Music Tasks.
Record and upload videos for all students who cancel without 24-hours notice.
Fill out Legends recommendations on time.
Attending two reviews per year.
Keep classrooms clean.
Regularly filling out the no-show sheet.
