Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Finance in the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking to fill a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Clinical Assistant Professor, or Clinical Associate Professor position in Finance.
This position is full-time and non-tenure track.
The principal role of this position is to teach classes in finance at the undergraduate level and, if suitably qualified, at the master’s level.
In addition to high quality teaching and the ability to interact with students professionally and respectfully, depending on the position, the candidate will be expected to engage in research and/or professional activities to the extent required to meet the College’s Faculty Qualification Standards and to engage in appropriate service activities in the Department and College.
We are seeking candidates who have an ability and interest in maintaining appropriate professional qualifications, have demonstrated excellence in communication, and an ability to and willingness to maintain active relationships with appropriate business partners.
Minimum Experience/Education
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
Candidates for the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position must hold a master’s degree with a major in finance or a related field or a MBA degree with a major in finance or a related field.
Appointment as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer depends on qualifications and experience.
Candidates for the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor position must hold either a PhD or DBA in finance or a related field or ABD in the process of obtaining a PhD or DBA in finance or a related field.
