In two pieces for easy transport, this great desk is in wonderful shape for its 150 years.
The base is made of walnut, with a sloped leather covered writing surface.
The upper secretary part is mainly walnut on the paneled sides, with some burl veneer on the front door panels.
The two lower drawers, with nice white ceramic pulls are hand dovetailed with wooden key escutcheons.
Behind the two upper doors are multiple cubby holes of various sizes for storage.
There is also a small hand dovetailed drawer with a white ceramic pull.
The original door lock and key are present.
Above the doors is a second hinged storage section with additional smaller cubbies and the original lock and key.
Dimensions are: Base – 31 ½ inches wide x 31 inches deep x 31 inches tall.
The top portion is 32 ½ inches wide x 14 ½ inches deep x 29 inches tall.
